Focus on Family, finances Hate, dumps 200 employees
In an effort to help pass Proposition 8 in California, Focus on the Family donated over $500,000.00 to the cause. Now they cannot meet their financial obligations and are laying off 20% of their workforce. Karma's a bitch, isn't it.
Maybe Focus on the Family should focus on their own family and leave ours alone.
Gay rights supporters waving rainbow colors marched, chanted and danced in cities coast to coast Saturday to protest the vote that banned gay marriage in California and to urge supporters not to quit the fight for the right to wed. Photos and more at TowleRoad and at Joe.My.God.
For the first time, the weekly Democratic address has been released as a web video. It will also continue to air on the radio. President-elect Obama plans to to publish these weekly updates through the Transition and then from the White House. Today's address from the President-elect concerns the current economic crisis. Very kewl.
I thought I knew quite a bit about our President-elect, but I found a few things even I wasn't aware of. (Including the fact that he speaks Spanish and uses an Apple laptop).
With marches scheduled at dozens of cities around the country, Join the Impact will help you find the location of the protest nearest you. The theme of the protest is "Let's work together to promote love and equality." Incidentally, I agree.
