OpenCitizen.com was launched to give me a place to promote my worldview while providing an open forum for users to discuss current events relating to the intersection of politics and pop culture and anything else that merits dialogue.
more about me...
I am a forty-something-year-old white liberal male living in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
When I was 5, I liked to wear dress shirts, ties and sweaters. Today I wear dress shirts, ties and sweaters. (I guess that means I still dress the same way I did 40 years ago).
I was born and raised in the midwest, although I have lived in Lincoln, NE, Chicago, IL and Tampa, FL.
I lived in a trailer park called "King's Manor" for nearly one year when I was 8 years old.
I was raised in an Assembly of God Church by a conservative, Christian family.
I think Bush and Cheney wrecked our country, however, I have hope that Americans, along with President Obama and the Dems, can fix it and restore our place in the world.
